As an independent author I get to choose what I publish and when I publish and so that the readers don’t get bored, or to find new readers I chose to revisit an old friend in the form of Omega, book two in my Col Sec series of sci fi novels.
At the time of writing this book Casino Royale had just come out with Daniel Craig taking over the role of James Bond and being a huge fan of the movies and books it influenced my writing. I had always wanted to write a ‘James Bond’ type novel, an all action spy thriller and being inspired as I was, and not knowing what to do with Kurt Stryder, the hero of my first book in the series Ronin, I set out to write what I saw as an homage to the Bond franchise.
The central character in Omega was featured in Ronin, Matt Hawk. A covert operative of Col Sec Intelligence Division he is tasked to act on intelligence gathered of a terrorist planning an event. After capturing the terrorist in question they learn he works for a mysterious group known only as OMEGA. As things escalate they learn this group has infiltrated not only businesses but branches of the military and who knows what else.
This is just the start of a thrilling chain of events culminating in a terrifying attack on Col Sec HQ itself in the heart of New York city.
When I first published this book I was extremely proud of how it turned out, it was fun to write and at the time was my favourite book. It has been re-published a couple of times and now, once again it sees the light of day in a new edition. After checking through it I noticed a few errors so I changed editors to correct this and now it is ready for the public. To further make it ready for the public I commissioned Magic Quill Graphics for some new artwork. They did a fantastic job and this time it really does fit my original vision for the book.
So there you have it, you can check it out here, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007MPPHE0
hope you like it and look out for further new editions of the series coming soon.
