Jack Cross has had his life turned upside down. His wife and daughter had been killed in front of him by a member of the Hierarchy, Donald Bainbridge had been killed in an abortive attempt on the Prime Ministers life by the same group and finally SI6, the unit he worked for had been disbanded.

He has a new apartment and he is trying to figure out what to do for employment, true when SI6 was disbanded by Simon Bennett, Deputy Director of MI6 at the behest of the PM himself he was actually put on extended bereavement leave but that was just a formality. What he was unaware of was that the PM had tasked Bennett to form a new unit that would do the work of the old SI6 but better and this time keep it covert.

Enter Felix Moya, a Colombian Drug Lord who has a plan to destroy the competition by stealing all the customers by distributing his new designer drug. Once customers have a taste there would only be one way to get more, from his supply. He forces a chemist, Doctor Franklin, to design this drug by kidnapping his daughter and threatening to turn her into an addict if he doesn’t do as Moya demands. Unfortunately Franklin’s daughter dies from an intolerance to the drugs given her which sets Franklin off on a journey of revenge.He alters the drug so that it would be deadly to all addicts.

A chance meeting between Jack and DEA agent Charlotte (Charley) Parker when the former is visiting Mike Flynn leads to the two of them working together. Parker is working on getting information on Moya to bring charges against him. She has a mole in the cartel close to Moya himself who they learn of this plan from. Once they learn his intentions they have to stop it.

Jack and Charley work together in a race against time to prevent Moya distributing the new drug via a drone fleet that will spray the drug over the world starting with Miami, killing millions of innocent lives.
